Vichy Campground Church of God

Salvation is the Best Thing in this Life and Hope in the Life to come!

YOUTH RALLY 2008  now wasn't it great!

We want to thank all of you that traveled through the long nights and into the morning hours just to arrive in Missouri and find that the roads to Vichy were closed due to high water.  But you know God is always faithful to his saints.  A lady called Pastor Campbell and gave him a new direction to tell the saints about that were coming through St. Louis.  So everyone made it to the campground in plenty of time to get ready for service.  Praise God!  God is so good to his people.  A special thanks to the local youth who spent time, money and much prayer for the success of the meeting.  Thanks to Bro. Bobby Beauchamp & family, Bro. Lee Hampton & family for taking time out of their busy schedules to come and minister to the youth.  It was much appreciated.  We know young people that if you had not come then it would not have been the same.  THANK YOU, it encouraged the local youth to have you here.  Attached are photos of the meeting.  On the Sermons page of our website we will have the messages uploaded soon.

Young and young in heart both participate.  Bro. Johnny Bremer singing, "Don't Ride the Black Train"

The Vichy Youth Group and members of the local congregation did a thought provoking skit.  For those who were unable to attend:  the skit starts with the congregation singing, Once again we come to the house of God..........................................

.....while in the process, three gunman burst into the service and proceed to cause havoc.

Several run from the service out of fear.  Others pray and are calling out for God's help.  All of the while the gunmen trying to persuade people in the service that there was no God.

Two girls start singing " I Love Jesus, yes I love Jesus, he's done so much for me".

They question several about who is God and if God is so good why this and why that.

Then they assault the minister of God, asking why he is leading a cult?

One sister talks to the youngest gunman and persuades him to lay his gun at the altar, the whole time telling him it was not Jesus who has been his enemy but rather the enemy of the world.  He breaks down and gives his heart to the Lord.  The other two are still ranting and raving amongst the congregation.

By this time, the other two gunman realize that the saints are not giving up their Jesus, they come forward to receive Christ into their lives.

Sis. Esther Bell then talks about when we are in the middle of a serious situation, what are we going to do?  You cannot pretend that you know him then.  Pretending only last until you are dead, then reality is real.  Going through the motions just because you have been raised to do right does not make one a saint.  Having a personal relationship with Jesus, being connected to him and knowing him daily is the key.  She relates her testimony about being raised in the church and going through the motions, yet the enemy blinded her.  She has recognized the enemy and admitted her wrongs and is telling others how not to be and how to be.  Thank the Lord we CAN know HIM on a personal level everyday of our lives!!!
